Description
The Concertino for Guitar and Strings was written early in 2022 for classical guitar and strings. I used the notation programme Musescore which worked very well and produced an mp3 (midi) file to listen to.
The first performance was at Trinity School Croydon on November 22nd 2022 with soloist (microphone placed in front) and full string section, which worked very well. The strings are written divisi in the parts and are the usual Violins 1 & 2, Violas, cello and bass, so a chamber performance of two players to a part with 1 double bass would also work well.
The Concertino lasts approximately 16 minutes and is in 4 connected movements. It features a variety of styles and a short cadenza. The downloadable files include a score, solo guitar and string parts all in pdf format, also the mp3 audio file.
The Concertino is very playable, I hope you enjoy playing it. Please contact me if you do!
